The Pantry, Brighton

How do you give the average Brightonite a somewhat, average, normal experience? Call it something average, like The Pantry. But no no, they won’t come if the menu sounds boring. Because the average AMG or X3 driver certainly wouldn’t eat just a big breakfast with eggs cooked to your liking, bacon, sautéed mushrooms, roasted tomatoes and a slab of toasted bread. Give it a name that by choosing it will make them feel closer to the everyday, yet much poorer man. Like the Farmer’s Breakfast. And a sausage in bread would be way too normal. Jazz it up by using delicious minced pork, fennel and chilli, a squeeze of mustard and serve those fries in baking paper and a glass tumbler with tomato sauce in a mini jug. Yup, it’s pretty fancy.

Fun aside, it’s actually pretty good stuff, just a little pricy. But loose change for Baysiders.
