Ants Bistro

Next time you're drunk from after work drinks on a Friday, ignore that craving for dumplings and crawl your way over to Ants Bistro. The generous sized and well priced dishes ensure the prices stay at the right price.

Not sure who we have to thank for commissioning it (i like to think Penny Wong) but the ministers chicken is must have. The deep fried chicken ribs in a sticky sweet delicious sauce are dangerously addictive. The rest of the menu is a bit hit and miss, with the namesake ants on a tree, tea leaf smoked duck & tofu dishes getting a nod - whilst others like the peking roast lamb & the desserts are better on paper.

It may not want you to take your (p)ants off (ha ha!) but Ants 's a tasty alternative to late night dumplings.

3 / 5 yums!

Where? 7 Corrs Lane, Melbourne 3000 (off Little Bourke)

His comments follow the latest mass protests on Saturday over the 4 December poll, which his opponents say was rigged.
