It could be the Baku of sandwich shops, as you hold your girlfriend’s and stare at the baguette, Turkish and wrap gems that glisten from behind the glass cabinets. Just listen to the combinations you might find: chicken schnitzel with horseradish, coleslaw and walnuts; steak, swiss cheese and caramelised onions; curried chicken, Moroccan lamb and mint yoghurt. Yum.

Though the name suggests the various sizes you can purchase the food in, they actually just come in small or large. But beware, if you ask for a large, you end up with a small, my meatball, eggplant, parmesan and basil baguette squashed in the toasting process. It’s a cracker though and my only gripe is that it did actually come in extra large.
