Pacific Seafood BBQ House

Lovers of roast meats will need no introduction to this South Yarra outpost of the Richmond original. A typically bustling Hong Kong style diner with uncomfortable plywood chairs that suggest you eat and get out for the next table. Specials written on colours of the rainbow paper decorate the wall in scribbles I can’t comprehend, presumably Chinese. The menu carries all the Chinese classics but it’s the roasts that you come here for. Sad that pork has run out already at 9:30 on a weeknight, but the duck and char siu adequately compensate. I won’t hesitate to return for a try, but getting in might be a problem for the legions of loyal fans without a booking.
