Tempura and Dumpling House

If you like to taunt the hungry, then getting a seat early at Tempura and Dumpling House is perfect place for you. As the name suggests, there’s a combination of Japanese and Chinese fast food cuisine, though the Chinese more popular. A lunchtime sensation in Box Hill enjoys a high turnover and there seems to be only two things zipping out of the kitchen.

There’s no holding back on the salt/soy in the beef noodle soup with thick, slippery white wheat noodles and chunks of brisket swimming inside. A flavour that’s too strong for me to have daily. Pan fried dumplings are good, the bottom is nicely browned and give a contrasting texture to the juicy meat.

Don’t linger around for too long staring at empty plates you just enjoyed, that is of course you enjoy the forlorn looks of those waiting outside.
