Can you trust a celebrity chef, author, and restaurateur Kylie Kwong for a recommendation? For starters, the name is about as boring as counting rice grains though it does offer a healthy description of what the store sells. It’s as if they are trying to avoid litigation over false and misleading conduct under the Corporations Act with a name so safe.
That said, with all of Kylie’s experience and credentials, it’s a safe bet that she won’t lead you astray. The double cooked pork is a spritely spicy dish. Hand pulled noodles are a real feature, the strands of fried flour springy and firm. Chopped cubed eggplants melt in the mouth, covered in a thick, dark chilli hinted gravy. Extremely tender lamb chops a must, the pan fried dumplings the best on the south side of the harbour.
Remember, if you ever feel like Chinese, dumplings and noodles, you can’t go wrong at this place in Kingsford. If it’s good enough for Kylie, it’ll be good enough for you.
