Cliffy’s

Had those fridges not been visible at the back, you might have thought you’d walked through a time hole and arrived inside an 1800s food emporium. The aged weather boards, that could have come straight from the Back to the Future III film set, fits comfortably within the country-ness of Daylesford. The store bursts with gourmet products and produce, the dining space old old old school grandma collectible eclectic. It’s all retro classic café stuff, a very country tomato based veggie soup slides down, the thick and crispy beef pie, provides a little more substance though more big ben then homemade, topped with a tomato chutney and peas. The feed, decent but if country charm is what you’re after, Cliffy’s has no shortage.
