Hurricane’s Grill

ZOMG! SPECTACULICIOUS! WOWZER! BOW CHICKA WOW WOW! [insert random superlative for awesomeness here] If you’re vegetarian don’t bother with this place. In fact, if you’re vegetarian, I have no idea why you’d be reading this blog. There is nothing here for you.

Be surprised that this place sells the most AMAZING pork ribs, perhaps the best in the world, for when you see the bouncer out the front, a swarm of people milling around a bar sipping beer and cocktails, with an army of cute young boys and girls zipping around in black fitted attire, you could be forgiven for thinking Hurricane’s is a rather popular club. Yeah they do offer salads, steaks and grilled chicken, but I pity the fool who would you order anything else but the full rack of pork ribs that comes with chips or oven baked potato. Carbs are a mere distraction to the main event.

This is one occasion where table manners can be ignored. Eating these ribs is so liberating, primal and barbaric. Use your hands and don’t be shy. Using the predator hunting knife supplied is an excellent weapon of choice to get stuck in. Absolutely gorge and ho into those full, whole, pig ribs ripped straight out of a ginormous pig, marinaded in an intense BBQ sauce, lathered on as it’s fired up on the hot grill, cooked until the hog meat takes on a complex smoky sweet flavour, so powerful that gives downstairs a bit of a tingle. KFC ain’t the only thing that’s finger lickin’ good. I guarantee that once these ribs hit your palate, you’ll crave no other. Go the full rack for no regrets. ZOMG!
