Gari

To sushi train, or not to sushi train, that is the question. More importantly would you sushi train at Westfield Bondi Junction? Call me a restaurant snob, but without a Japanese customer let alone an Asian diner inside the restaurant, yes I had my reservations. However, it was quite busy for a weeknight, so it couldn’t have been completely bad. In fact, it wasn’t bad at all, and quite decent. Plates started at $3.20 for the base models, the premiums $5.50. Salmon nigiri keeps more to the traditional Japanese style, the teriyaki chicken roll that was a tad heavy with the mayo keeps the folk in the Eastern suburbs happy. Perfect for that quick stop before a movie, I would choo-choo-choose Gari. That’s Gary… with an “i”.
