Grand Tofu

Bringing Honkie style fare to the south-eastern suburbs, Grand Tofu offers cuisine from as many continents as the number of colours in a Lego set. A smorgasbord similar to the city’s Dessert House, you are in control when you request the house special Young Tofu – soup, noodle and 6 choice dumplings - Fried or steamed chicken, prawn dumplings to more unusual fish cake stuffed peppers. Of the four, the laksa soup is alright, only one I’ve ever had although it lacks the potent curry punch from classier versions. Smothered with choice, there’s also decent Hainanese chicken rice, Char Koay Teow, Mee Goreng, Roti, Won Ton Noodle Soup, Beef Brisket Rice and Eel Rice.
