Lounge

If you’ve ever wondered up Crown St from Oxford St, you could be forgiven for missing a tiny red sign as you past Goulburn St. An oasis in the urban sprawl that is Sydney city, there’s a distinct tropical, yet bohemian chill to this café. Benches and tables under the sun, the lounges and red tones inside put you in the mood for a relaxing Sunday morning. Tuck into some wholemeal toast slices with real blueberry jam, though the French toast was a bit too rich and greasy for my liking. Fabulous was the chai, the cardamom, cinnamon and anise allowed to simmer releasing the full strength of the spices with honey added to sweeten. Impressive was the chai shake, which was a touch too sweet but was milkier and served chilled. I haven’t had good chai since.

2.5 / 5 yums!
